Efforts to void Oracle’s possession of the JavaScript trademark have been led by Deno and Node.js creator Ryan Dahl. In a February 4 blog post, Dahl criticized Oracle’s newest transfer. “Yesterday, Oracle filed a movement to dismiss in response to Deno’s petition to cancel its ‘JavaScript’ trademark,” Deno Land CEO Dahl mentioned. “However as a substitute of addressing the true problem—that JavaScript is an open customary with a number of impartial implementations—Oracle is making an attempt to stall the method and sidestep accountability.”
